News Update: Hotel Bookings, Cost of Stay and Quarantine Stay in Canada
The Hotel Quarantine for air travelers in Canada started on February 22nd, 2021. Many parents and students traveling for career and study purposes are worried about the quarantine stay cost.
Earlier in January, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau announced that quarantine charges may go up to approximately 2,000 CAD to stop the spread of COVID-19.
However, as per reports published by the Canadian Press and CIC News, the actual cost is lower than expected.
At Pearson International Airport, quarantine hotel charges range from $319 to $339 per person. Meanwhile, at the Calgary Airport Marriott In-Terminal Hotel, a three-day quarantine stay costs up to $1,272 including taxes.

Mandatory quarantine stays must be completed in government-nominated hotels located in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. More hotels are expected to be added soon.
